  • How mushy do the tomatoes get? I love tomatoes, but the texture of cooked whole tomatoes isn't always something I enjoy.
  • Coincidentally, I had tomato pie tonight when we went out to eat. I loved it! For some reason, I thought the tomatoes would be green. The crust had basil in it and I could tell it was made with oil. It was topped with feta and kalamata olive slices. Very good stuff!
  • They don't get that mushy, especially if you let them drain long enough in the colander.
  • We are going to try your recipe either tonight or over the weekend, using our homegrown tomatoes. Thanks for sharing it!
  • OK, I think I'll have to try this. :) All I need is some bacon and pie crusts. I picked up tomatoes at the farmers market and I have fresh basil onhand.
