    I remember the "Advent Calendar" but don't remember if it was "store bought" or made by "Miss Edith", my Sunday School Teacher. This was around 1940 plus or minus several years. Wish I had one to share with my grandchildren.

    We do an advent calendar every year. :) The church mailed Megs one, but we managed to lose it, so we'll go with the old standby. (It's a cloth advent calendar, very cool!)

    I started to make an Advent calendar for an artsy craftsy friend a few years ago, but by the time I found out exactly which four weeks her flavor of Lutheranism celebrated, it was Christmas!
