You might even look at it as putting the Christ back in Christmas, that is, remaking the Christmas celebration into what it was and what it is supposed to be.  I'm all for putting Christmas back into the churches and into the lives of Christians and not trying to force it on everyone.  As far as a secular holiday celebrating consumerism, well ...
