  • ATT offers DSL in San Diego for $14.95/mo. Don't know if that's a teaser, but I'd never go back. What you get really depends on your phone line. You can buy DSL service from any company that leases the local phone lines. Here it's old SBC lines. The service was soooo slow and glitchy. I am quite happy with Time Warner's RoadRunner cable modem service, even though it goes out occasionally. If you do a lot of work online like building websites, uploading files, downloading large image files, music, movies, then cable is the only way to go!
  • Insight Cable started us out with the $30/month pricing for "at least a year," but then after our year was up, they sent us a letter saying they were extending it for at least another year. :)

    As much gaming as we do, we really benefit from having cable. Hopefully your area will get more competitive pricing soon. :)
