Lake Neuron: Universalism meets Sheilaism

I'm looking forward to the conversation here, John. I'm a universalist, but not a Unitarian Universalist since I believe in the Trinity. I guess the closest thing to a Trinitarian Universalist church would be a liberal Episcopal church like the one I belong to.

As a former ORU student, I would be fascinated to know what you think of Carlton Pearson's "Gospel of Inclusion" -- a Pentecostal form of universalism that got him kicked off the Board of Directors at ORU.

Concerning Sheilaism: I guess my own belief system could be called Darrellism. If I had followers, would they be Darrellicts? :)

Hi John--the new blog looks great, and it looks like the conversation is off to a great start. I don't consider myself to be a universalist, at least not by the definition you are giving, since I do think that certain flavors of various religions are unethical. In the spirit of keeping things positive, I'll skip naming names. That said, I do tend to interpret the Bible very liberally and often metaphorically. At any rate, I'm looking forward to further conversation!
